Meetup American Corner Skopje

On April 28, 2015 at the American Corner Skopje, the project team “Why go abroad when you can stay and invest in your country” held a business meeting at which launched two videos from the online course “Developing entrepreneurship in transitioning economies “.

In the videos are presented the Macedonian entrepreneurial story and opportunities for entrepreneurship support offered in Macedonia. The meeting was attended by students and professors from the University American College Skopje UACS Skopje, representatives of NewMan’s Business Accelerator, professors and students from secondary economic school, youth with their business ideas as well as members of the American Corner Skopje.

Participants were informed about the video “The role of intermediary organizations” and the concept of organizations, foundations and technological parks that help young entrepreneurs. In the video about the business accelerators, participants learned what is the accelerator role in the development of innovative businesses in Macedonia. Through questions and discussion participants had the opportunity to talk directly with representatives from business accelerator for their work, opportunities for collaboration, and to hear stories of their specific experience in supporting young entrepreneurs.
