0Inovative and non-conventional models of financing Macedonian entrepreneurs
On request by existing and future entrepreneurs in our country, another extra effective training on “Innovative and non-conventional models of financing small and medium enterprises.” was held. This one-day training was an extension of the project “Invest – why go abroad when you can stay and develop your country” which raised high interest among our citizens for more and more information from a variety of activities that would improve the performance of their businesses .
With this training we aimed:
- To inform the audience of more than 10 non-classical ways of funding available to entrepreneurs
- To motivate them to be proactive in their application and utilization of these funds
- Networking of entrepreneurs with consultants and institutions that would help in this process
The training was attended by students, employed, unemployed, potential and existing entrepreneurs, representatives of institutions that support entrepreneurship, leaders and representatives of financial institutions.
The first part of the training which was in the form of a debate the speakers talked about the situation with the usage of non-classical methods of funding in Macedonia. It is fact that we are poorly informed about their availability and about their favorable conditions offered to a startup, but also to existing businesses that want to improve their processes. Through their own personal experiences and the state’s support it was proved how important these financial models are especially in the initial stages of businesses, where the risk is significantly greater and where the financial support is the most critical for their survival.
Guest speakers:
- Zoran Vitanov – CEFE Macedonia
- Janko Trenkoski – KB First Pension Company
- Katarina Krecheva – Fund for Innovation and Technological Development
That we are poorly informed and inactive in the process of seeking resources for feeding our businesses proved Mr Sam Vaknin, who in the second part of the training presented over 10 forms of non-classical funding models and over 50 entities that provide these same funds available, accessible for our country too. Mr. Vaknin was so precise and detailed in his speech that he proved, we do not need great efforts, long queues and extensive documentation in order to get to finance. He activated our proactive searching, giving us directions and opening our horizons far beyond the banking counters.
The materials Mr. Sam Vaknin singled out for this training, which he proposal to be made public and to our pleasure, can be found at the following link: http://samvak.tripod.com/nm01.html
